Abbey Weiss holds one of her sea glass creations on sale at The Nest, a coffee shop with a difference, in Deep River. Abbey’s framed sea glass pictures all include an uplifting phrase, many related to The Nests’ mission to train and employ a neurodiverse population of young adults, to create inclusive social activities for them as well as to introduce the wider community to their individual strengths and talents. The picture Abbey is holding proclaims, Dare to be Different; other pictures include phrases like Free to Be and Families Forever. The Nest is holding its fourth annual Water Lantern Celebration on Saturday, May 20, at 6:30 p.m. at Plattwood Park in Deep River. The event supports the ongoing work of the organization.
