A message from our Executive Director, Jane Moen

We know that these are very uncertain times and that many are struggling to endure these long days of isolation. Like so many other small non-profit businesses, The Nest Coffee House is closed due to COVID-19. The Nest is doing its best to stay strong during the closure. We continue to work hard to provide a vital, soft place to land for young adults with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities through weekly online meetings with our employees as well as an array of online virtual social gatherings free of charge for all until we can gather at The Nest again.

Still, without knowing when we will be able to reopen, we worry about meeting our monthly financial obligations. If you are in a position to help us by “chirping” in a few dollars, we would so love to “hear” from you. Together we can create a “Dawn Chorus” for The Nest to let our employees and our beloved community who depend on us know that we’re strong and will be here for them!

At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on.
